On Södertörn peninsula south of Stockholm you'll find the municipality and the central area Huddinge. In addition to the central area Huddinge the muncipality also including Segeltorp, Vårby, Trångsund, Skogås, Stuvsta, Fullersta and not least Flemingsberg, where the trains to southern Sweden to stay on the station Stockholm South.
In Huddinge you'll find Karolinska University Hospital Huddinge with Södertörn University. Perhaps the most famous spot in addition to the hospital is probably The Kings curve (Kungens kurva). A place that got its name when King Gustav V September 28, 1946 drove into a ditch. Nasty (?) tongues say that the cause of the accident was that the king disrupted his driver with erotic activities.
The lesbians poet Karin Boye lived here after her family moved in 1915 from Gothenburg. Here she wrote her youth poetry.
